The Perfect Song
Aye, aye! We meet again. Hi, how are you? Hope you're doing fine. If not, I'm sorry. Well, let's just start now, alright? Ever heard of a song? Yep, yep! We're gonna talk about it today! Of course, as usual, I'll go for two characters from different stories. Music is kind of part of my life. I love writing, and music helps me almost every time! I'm kinda excited for this one.
Alright, for the first one is listening material. It's a Dreamworks 2D animated movie called Sinbad : Legend of the Seven Seas, written by John Logan. So, what is the movie about? Well, the pirate, Sinbad, is framed by the Goddess of Chaos, Eris, for the theft of the Book of Peace. He must travel through the seas to the end of the world to retrieve the Book of Peace in order to save his childhood friend. It's about 1 hour and 26 minutes long, so it's not really that long, I guess? But I can assure you, it's worth to watch! Interested? You can check it here.
I have one song in my mind when I watched the film, especially when it comes to Eris' screen time. The HAIR! Ugh, yaasss Queen! Okay, enough obsessing. Here's my idea. The song title is Villain, sung by Madison Beer and Kim Petras. Here, check it out!
Is it really a surprise if I'm playing with your mind?
And I treat you like a prize then I throw you to the side?
Am I really that bad if I love to make you mad?
And get happy when you're sad?
Only care about a bag
I'm really getting the Eris' vibe every time I hear this song. Eris is the type of villain that I really, really, really like. She doesn't care about the mortal's feeling, she just wants to make some chaos! She doesn't even hesitate when she attempted to kill Sinbad and just for fun. Though she lose in the end, she just shrugs it off, making another chaos on the other side of the world, with such threatening aura. For her, it's all just fun and games. Damn, you go girl!
Alright, enough fangirling, let's get onto the next one, reading material! Dun dun duuuunn!
The next one is a 15 level story titled Transition, written by Tokyo_Teacher. It consists of 1013 word. The story is about a newborn vampire that is struggling to control her thirst. Failing to control such undeniable tempting human blood, she falls into a killing spree. Interested? You can check it out here!
I have one song in mind for this one, and it is Deep End, sung by Ruelle. Check it out!
Like blood in my veins
Darkness is sinking
Darkness is sinking me
Commanding my soul
I am under the surface
Where the blackness burns beneath
It's getting close
I lose control
It's taking over
I'm slipping, into the deep end
I'm in over my head, I can't catch my breath
I'm slipping, into the deep end
Feel the current within
I can't help but give in
I'm lost in the deep end
Yeah, the whole lyric really fits with the whole story. It shows how the character is struggling to resist, yet she failed miserably. The thirst has taken over her, controlling her mind. In the end, she becomes a bloodthirsty vampire. She knows that is wrong, but as it said, the thirst has taken over. She's lost in the deep end.
Alrighty, I guess that's everything, for now. What do you think about the songs? Do you think they fit to the story? Which one do you like the most? Well, I love the Eris part. I'm really obsessed with the Goddess of Chaos, haha! So chaotic. I love chaotic stuff. And. The. HAIR. Ah, I'm screaming. Well, anyway, this is the end, I guess. We'll meet again in the next assignment! Ciao!
