Let Me Write A Poem About You

Aye! Aye! Hello, there! Miss me? Haha. We meet again! Welcome, to the hive of this drunken little human. Today I've learned some stuffs like an acrostic poem. And yes, again, I'm going to pick two stories and from each stories, I;m going to pick one character, and make an acrostic poem about them. This time, there's no instruction to choose whether it's a character I love or a character that I genuinely hate. Yeah boy, it's time to rant. Finally.

Alright, for the first one, we have a French television series, Miraculous : Tales of Ladybug & Chat Noir, or we can also call it Miraculous Ladybug, written by Thomas Astruc. But Arinda, isn't this an English related course? Now, now! Don't freak out yet. Yes, the series took place at Paris, French with Parisian teenagers as the characters. Well, they're English dubbed, duh! It counts, right? Anyway, the series tell us about the story about two Parisian teenagers, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, who transform as superheroes, Ladybug and Chat Noir, to protect the city from Supervillains. It has 4 seasons so far and is still on going. Well, for the length of the episodes, it's about 22 to 24 minutes per episodes. Interested? You can watch their action here.

Of course, for this rare opportunity, I'm going to pick a character that I really, really, really hate. Some of you might have guessed, and yes, it is a villain. To be honest, I usually more into villains than the heroes. But this girl, this obnoxious little manipulator, Lila Rossi, or we can say, LIE-la. Seriously, I cannot find any reason to at least like her character even for a bit. Really, all she does is lie, lie, lie. Just to get attentions for her, or I would say, to get whatever she wants. And she DOES get whatever she wants, like she's winning nevertheless. Trust me, every time she appears, things could get bad. Not being dramatic, just stating a fact!

Please, don't fall for her look. Trust me.

Alright, here we go, an acrostic poem for miss Lila Rossi. Since her first name only consists four words, which does not fulfill the requirement of the assignment, I'm going to use her last name.

Ridiculous (utterly ridiculous!)
Outrageous
Selfish
Sassy
Irresponsible

Well, you already know from the earlier paragraph, that I genuinely hate her. The amount of her lies are ridiculous. Her actions are outrageous. She is shown to be selfish, lying about everything just for her own comfort. Behind people's back, she'll show her true self, how sassy she is, how she actually only sees her classmates as her minions. And her lies always ends up hurting people, yet she never apologized, just come up with another lies and she doesn't have to face the consequences of her actions. How irresponsible of her. That's why I make the poem as it is, to express my hatred towards her. But hey, as people say, a great villain is the one that makes you hate them so much that you just want to have a word with them, fully equipped with legendary armors and weapons.

Alright, onto the next one. It's time for reading material! Today I was just ran into an interesting story. And surprise, surprise, it's from our good ol' ER-Central. It's called The Perfect Face by Lisa P. It is a level 8 reading text with 657 words. You can read it here. I also found similar story, just from different source. Take a look at this if you are interested in comparing both stories.

Yes, this is the cover of the story. No, there is nothing else than this picture. Bear with me.

Well, what is the story about? It tells us about a story of a beautiful girl named Kylie. Yet she thinks that she's ugly, and she wants to change her appearance because of it. Not gonna lie, I am triggered. The audacity for thinking she's ugly, ugh. I'm just gonna say that--you know what, let's just move on to the poem.

Knowable
Young
Lucky
Insecure
Extraordinary

I honestly have mixed feelings about this character. On one side, I absolutely don't like how she thinks that she's ugly. Everyone knows she's beautiful. Her beauty makes her knowable, everyone's attention could be stolen by her beauty. I mean, she is lucky because of her beauty, that even an advertiser asks her to work with the company he's in as a model. She is BEAUTIFUL, yet she is ungrateful of that. But, on the other side, I kinda get the feeling sympathetic towards her. I know she doesn't have to be insecure about herself, her body. I want to tell her that she needs to love herself more. I want to give her a hug, comforting her, telling her that she is a young, extraordinary girl, no matter what she looks. Because she is beautiful as she is. And there is nothing wrong with a "big nose" or black hair.

Dang, it seems like I'm getting a little wiser. Funny, considering on seeing how I developed myself throughout these posts. Anyway, I think that is it. I have told you everything that I have in mind. Do you agree with me? Seems suspicious if everyone does. I'm open for discussions, you know. Well, if I feel like it. Well, anyway, see you in the next assignment! Ciao!
