Gifts

Aye aye!  Welcome back to my lair of mind, where the pieces of my mind are displayed here. Come along! Careful, there might be some dangerous, such abomination and destruction  stuffs in there LOL. Anyway, this is my very first project. Today I'm gonna talk about, well, you guess it, gifts! But what gift? Who's gonna get the gift? Who's the lucky one? Alright, calm down. It's just some gifts for fictional characters. Well, let's just say, a fictional gift. What? You thought I'm gonna do some kind of giveaway stuff?  Honey, I'm broke. Also, making a fictional gift is free, and it's limitless. Anyway, as I said earlier, I'm gonna give a gift to two of my favorite characters! Well, I have plenty, but the assignment only orders me to do two. Kinda relieved, tho. Imagine how long would this blog be if I had to do it for each of every favorite characters I have. Hell. Well, anyway, back to the topic. The first one is... (inserts drum roll) Jack Frost, from...

Suit Up!

Hello there, fellow readers! We meet again. Now, today's assignment is, well.. how am I going to explain.. oh well. I have read and listen to two stories today. Well, one listening and one reading material, to be precise. What if I were the character in the story? Well, let's find out, shall we? For the first one, here's my reading text, Little Red-Cap by The Brothers Grimm. Or we usually call it as Little Red Riding Hood. Well, obviously everyone knows this classic children story. But what if I were the main character, Little Red-Cap? Will it be chaotic? Will it be abomination? Who knows! Maybe I could've just brought a gun in my basket whenever my mother asked me to go to the woods, ALONE! Not gonna lie, this is concerning. Or maybe I just take a giant scythe with me (if you know the reference, come forward, my fellow gamer). Alright, back to the topic. What if I were Little Red-Cap? Let's see, here we go. Hello there, strangers! My name is, well, everyone always ...

My Emoji Stories

Hello, there! We meet again. Welcome! In today's post, I'm gonna talk about one of the stories I've read from er-central.com. Well, it's more like an article. It's titled Why Kids Need to Spend Time in Nature. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the author. It has factual genre with love and relationship as the sub genre. Also, it's a level 15.50 reading.. material.. stuff. I spend about 9 minutes to read. It has 772 words. It's quite a lot, aye? Don't worry, tho. There's more. Of course, there's always more, my child.  (inserts ominous background music) #JustKidding Here, I'm gonna describe how I feel about the story based on an emoji. Source :  https://www.highsnobiety.com/p/apple-ios-14-2-new-emojis/ Why do I use this emoji? Well, first of all, it made me feel nostalgic. I miss the days when I was a little kid, playing around with the other children. I was always curious, adventure was my middle name. We did so many mischief stuffs. But the...

English and Me

Image
Hello, there! This is my very first post here. I think I should make a little introduction. My name is Arinda. I'm a college student from Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana. This blog is for my assignments. So I won't post anything besides my college stuffs. Now that you know a bit about me, let's get into the topic : English and Me! It's kinda funny on how I recall any good or bad memories about my English learning. It might sounds stupid, but since I was only an elementary student, I get to learn English from games. Yes, games. A casual, light novel RPG kind of game. Well, just say every games I've played. I follow the game's story, and whenever I found a difficult word, I search it up in my English dictionary. That's how my vocabulary develop. Not only games, I also learned English from movies. My mom used to play Disney movies for me since I was 4 years old, everyday! I guess that also took a part on building my English listening skill. So yeah, I've b...
